What a fantastic machine this is - its like we have stepped back 20 years in time! 2967cc V6 Automatic Ford SUV which is in truly remarkable condition with a fully documented 12 stamp main dealer service history. All MOT’s from 2007 to present day. Showing 45,644 miles on its odometer, which can be warranted from the supplied paperwork.
Our thoughts
This is possibly a ‘Never to be repeated’ vehicle which is a bit of a wild card when it comes to SUV’s. In it’s day this was the top of the range ford SUV as it is the XLT with full leather, Air con, sun roof, central locking etc.
However, its’s condition defies belief for a vehicle of it’s type as most 4x4’s are in a pretty poor condition from this age, but this looks and drives more like a 3 year old car. It would make a very useable and practical daily driver or even a retro overland vehicle with a few tasteful modifications such as a roof tent, some chunky tyres and some extra lighting and go exploring.
One thing is for sure, when we drove this home over 70 miles it was clear just how well this car has been looked after in its life as it performed faultlessly. The engine & gearbox was very responsive, no knocks or rattles and was a really comfortable place to be and a pleasantly surprising drive. The last of the Analogue era.
